Wang Zhu is my grandmother's given name, which translates to "catching a pearl with a net." To me, this piece serves as a biography to her life story, as I explore various aspects of her character.
Textile is closely related to the female perspective, which naturally has the power to make me feel powerful and intimate with the works. I born with the skill to use needles, without taking any professional class, inherited from the other female in the family. It is a continuation of memory and history.
